Vans Visits Luen Thai's Supply Chain City, Dongguan 2007-04-19 China -- Vans is a leading footwear brand in casual outdoor and extreme shoes, operating in more than 160 stores in the US and Europe. LTFW is entrusted with the production of Vans vulcanized products, manufacturing them in both China and the Philippines.
Willie Tan (CEO) and Johnny Chan (LTFW Vice President) met with representatives from Vans to tour them around the Dongguan Supply Chain City. The Vans team included Mr. Scott Thomas (Vice President of Asia Sourcing), Mr. Dana Guidice (Vice President of Product Development & Manufacturing), Mr. Robert Purvy (Director of Product Development), Mr. Larry Anastacio (Senior Merchandising Manager) and Mr. John Zabal (Product Technician).
The purpose of the visit was to tour the facilities at the Supply Chain City and to discuss company developments, including the new Luen Thai Footwear Design and Development Center that is being built within the supply chain city. This meeting also allowed Vans and LTFW to discuss production concerns and converse about future services available to them.
