APA Purchases 3rd Aircraft 2007-06-01 Guam, U.S.A. -- APA has recently fully purchased its third aircraft to manage their freight operations and maintenance routine more efficiently. With the lease on the plane due to expire in August 2007, APA has also reduced its cost considerably.
With its current fleet of three (3) long range B727-200, APA will continue to provide logistical support to Luen Thai Fishing Venture, haul mail on behalf of the United States Postal Service and provide inter island cargo hauling as part of its interline agreement with Continental Airlines.
As a result of better control and management, another benefit APA can derive from this purchase is to generate maximum revenue, which requires at least two (2) planes to be in service at all times for its current customer base.
