2008 SKECHERS Global Sales Conference 2008-07-22 Los Angeles, USA -- SKECHERS held their annual sales conference in Los Angeles from July 22 - 26 to celebrate their 16th anniversary. SKECHERS invited partners, subsidiaries and franchisors from around the world to celebrate their tremendous success over the past 16 years.
Willie Tan, CEO of Luen Thai Enterprises and SKECHERS China Limited, along with Michael Leung, CEO of SKECHERS Hong Kong, led the delegation from China and Hong Kong team. Willie was one of the key speakers at this year’s much anticipated event in the footwear industry titled Sweet Sixteen, Livin’ the Dream. He talked about the Chinese market and the expansion of SKECHERS in Hong Kong and other parts of Southeast Asia
SKECHERS is the only other billion dollar brand outside of Nike that grew its share for the US market. In its April 2008 report, Sporting Goods Intelligence (SGI) showed SKECHERS posting robust sales increase for 2007. Last year, SGI also cited SKECHERS as the No. 1 lifestyle footwear in the international market.
