SKECHERS Hong Kong Opens First Store 2008-08-16 China -- On August 16 Skechers opened their first store in Olympic City 2 in Hong Kong demonstrating a major step in their expansion across Asia. The event was hosted by Zac Kao and other celebrities who attended the event were Sherman Chung, Wylie Chiu and EO2.
The store is 1,534 square feet, with 450 SKU’s and styles on display from various SKECHERS collections, including, Women’s Active, Sports, USA, Cali, Cali Gear & kids. “SKECHERS is a fantastic, strong, global brand and this market is filled with brand-loving consumers who are ready for more of the stylish lifestyle footwear SKECHERS has to offer” said Michael Leung, CEO of SKECHERS Hong Kong and owner of Onwel Group.
The event attracted over 100 guests including 26 major business partners. The opening was a successful day in terms of sales with 128 pairs sold bringing in nearly HK$ 40,000.
