Flame Tree Festival Kicks Off in Saipan

Saipan- The roads along the beaches of Saipan light up like fire as the flame trees bloom and display their brilliance every year from April through August. This is the perfect time to visit the island not only to witness Saipan's national flame-like trees, but also to experience the annual Flame Tree Arts Festival in April. Musicians, artists and dancers gather on this occasion to celebrate this time of the year.

The festivity continues into the next month as the 14th Annual Taste of the Marianas International Food Festival and Beer Garden will be held every Saturday of May. Local and international cuisine of participating hotel and local restaurants, as well as performers adding music and excitement, will be featured in this event. Saipan is the capital of Northern Marianas, a US commonwealth, which has 14 islands stretching across 400 miles in the Western Pacific Ocean just adjacent to the world’s deepest Marianas Trench.
